Our Founder, Matt Plaskoff

Matt Plaskoff is one of Los Angeles' most visible and accessible contractors. Not only that, he's your personal remodeling expert.

It all began in 1988, when Matt founded Plaskoff Construction (www.plaskoff.com). His dream was to fill the void experienced by Southern California homeowners who couldn't find an honest, reliable builder.

Matt's integrity has paid off. Not only does he have almost three decades of experience building A-list celebrity homes, he was most recently given one of the highest honors by his industry peers and awarded Fred Case’s “Remodeling Entrepreneur of the Year.” He was also one of the original Lead Construction Consultants on ABC's” Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” and continues to be featured in numerous publications such as "Residential Contractor", "Remodeling Magazine", "Builder/Architect" and “Home Builder Executive” where he was selected for the second consecutive year as one of the country's “Top 100 Custom Home Builder Presidents”.

Not only is Matt visible, he is visionary

"After many years in the remodeling and building business, I was frustrated by the lack of systemization and the inability to create a consistent, high-quality result without killing my staff. My expertise on Extreme Makeover was making the wheels spin in my head. One night, my wife and I were out to dinner with friends, who asked, 'What would you do if you could develop the 'perfect' remodeling business?' Now mind you, this was 1999 and 'dotcom' was growing fast. I said, 'OneWeekBath.com. Go online. Design the bath. We show up. Done in a week. Fast. Efficient. Consistent.' I drew the logo on a napkin, and spent the next five years developing the business plan, financial models and researching the market and challenges.

"In the year 2004, I began working with 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition'. Standing in front of one of the homes that my team had just completed in ONE WEEK, I was asked by one of the producers, 'Can we open a remodeling company that builds really fast and make a living doing it?' I shared my OWB idea with him and he provided the initial seed capital to begin building the dream.

"I think we built 15 bathrooms the first year. Our second year we built 79, and our third year we built nearly 200. With well over fourteen hundred happy customers and their wonderful referrals, our business continues to grow. Our dream has become a reality: consistent, pain-free, high-quality remodeling. The sky is the limit!"

One Week Bath was recently named in Entrepreneur Magazine’s “TOP 100 BRILLIANT IDEAS” issue. Since 2004, the company has built well over one thousand bathrooms with a 96% customer satisfaction rating. Matt and One Week Bath are also making their second appearance on EXTRA TV where you can watch for the "before and after" makeover of a celebrity bathroom. Matt's vision and passion extend not only to various charity programs, but to "One Week Bath University", the school Matt created to help educate individuals to become the “Top of Their Class” while providing them unlimited opportunity.
